| Members of the Boko Haram sect |
Boko Haram the militant sect that has turned Northern Nigeria into a theater of war and blood  has distributed a letter requesting dialogue  with the Federal  Government of Nigeria. The letter, which was  sent through head
of journalists in Borno State, Aba Kakami, is coming after the bombing of Protestant Church at the Armed Forces Command and Staff
College in Jaji, Kaduna State where 17 people were killed.
Masquerade234 gathered that Kakami  has often received and distributed statements from the sect and this time around the letter was signed by Sheik Abu Mohammed Ibn Abdulazeez, a man
known  to security sources to be a senior member of the sect.
Barely a month ago the media was agog with report from the sect asking to dialogue with federal government and just as the fe3deral government was trying to study their demand, the whole thing was politicized and nothing came out from that opportunity. However if the new is  genuine, it  would  mark a
change  of departure  of  tactics by the  group which has been been
responsible for  many  bombings in the country.
Nearly 3,000 people have died violent
deaths related to the conflict since the sect launched its uprising in
2009, according to a count by Human Rights Watch. Boko Haram has
replaced militancy in the oil-rich Niger Delta over that time to become
the biggest security threat to Nigeria.
