In continuation of recoverying stolen funds in the 2.1
billion dollars arms deal, a fresh fact has it that the Publisher of ThisDay
Newspaper, Nduka Obaigbena, has returned the sum of N350m to the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission.
Our source at the commission, confirmed the
information, saying that Obaigbena returned the money to the commission on
Tuesday and a baklance of 200 million naira is expected next week.
The EFCC Task Force investigating arms procurement
under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, had quizzed Obaigbena on January
29, 2016 for allegedly receiving N670m from the immediate past National
Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki retd.
The commission released him after 24 hours after he
had agreed to sign an undertaking to make a refund of the money in two weeks, The
two weeks grace period expires on Tuesday next week.

associate of the Thisday Publisher has to rally round him to raise the money he
returned, it was even gathered that some of his assets were sold off to raise
the returned funds.
However the public is watching to see if the Duke as
he is fondly called would bounce back to rekoning.
