CSO OCCUPY ABUJA UNITY FOUNTAIN OVER BAYELSA RE-RUN

A coalition of Civil Society organization under the aegis of National Frontier say they will occupy Abuja Unity Fountain to ensure a free and fair outcome of Saturdays rerun election Bayelsa state.

National Coordinator of the group Femi Lawson told Masquerade234 that the occupation will be a peaceful and he urged politicians not to plunge the country into crisis, due to their quest for power by all means.

He advised the government not militarize the forthcoming election, but allow the police to play it’s statutorily role in the election. Lawson said the military compromised at the December 5^th and 6^th election in Bayelsa State.

The protester carried posters and banners with messages that read,

Ours is not violence # Save Southern Ijaw

Say No to Military Democracy # Save Southern Ijaw

The conclusive part of the election is scheduled for Saturday 9^th 2016 in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.
