In Nigeria newly
inaugurated federal executive council held its first executive council meeting
today at the presidential villa Abuja.
Immediately
after the meeting the new Minister of information Lai Mohammed briefed state
house correspondents on the outcome of the meeting.
He said
President Buhari urged the new ministers to carry out their duties without fear
or favour, adding that it should be in tandem with the change mantra.
Lai Mohammed
also assured newsmen of his cooperation and that of the federal government
under the All Progressive Congress led administration.
The new minister
of information also used the occasion to salute the courage of the Nigerian
media, insisting that they were the architect of the transition from one
political party to another.
However when Masquerade234 asked the new Information Minister on the frequency of the federal executive council meeting, the new minister of information said he was not yet aware of it. it should be recalled that the late President Umar Yar'adua held his fortnightly while President Jonathan held his weekly.
