Department of State Security Service headed by Lawal Musa Daura – has begun the screening of some of President Muhammadu Buhari’s likely ministers.
Masquerade234 gathered that the likes of Prof. Pat Utomi, a renowned economist, Eze Festus Odimegwu, former Nigerian Breweries MD, Mr. Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, erstwhile Governor of Osun State, have all been screened.
The others are Mr. Wale Edun, Tinubu’s Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Ifueko Omoigui-Okauru, hitherto the boss of FIRS and Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazu one time Chief of Army Staff. Equally being touted as likely ministers in Buhari’s cabinet which he has repeatedly assured all Nigerians will be constituted before the end of this September are Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, a minister under ex -President Olusegun Obasanjo, etc.
Masquerade234 also gathered that President Buhari, who is currently on a trip to France, may announce his ministers as soon as he returns. A situation which has already put spin doctors on their toes as they start a whirlwind of spin for their preferred candidates.
Three former governors of the immediate past the dispensation did not succeed at the screening due to some corruption allegation on their head. The former governors are Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State and Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
