Senate President Saraki and his team meets with Obasanjo in Abeokuta

          

Reasons for the senate president visit to Abeokuta to meet the former president have started emerging.

Senate President Bukola Saraki led a delegation of Senators to meet former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his hilltop mansion, Abeokuta, Ogun state on Friday.

Masquerade234 gathered that the Senate President and his team visited Obasanjo to broker peace between the senate president and President Mohammed Buhari, following Saraki’s emergence as senate president in defiance to the party’s position.

It was gathered Senator Saraki lamented to Olusegun Obasanjo that although the party leaders say they have accepted his emergence, there was complete communication breakdown between him, President Buhari and the party.

From what is happening the party seems to be distancing itself from the Senate President, a situation that is not going down well with Senator Bukola Saraki. It was even gathered that the National Chairman of APC John Oyegun cancelled a scheduled meeting with Saraki without giving another appointment.

Likewise Masquerade234 also gathered that Bukola Saraki had tried severally to meet with Mr. Buhari since his emergence, but has been denied audience.
