OGUN STATE GOVERNOR ACCUSES NNPC OF CONNIVVING WITH VANDALS TO WRECK PIPELINES IN THE COUNTRY.

Gov Ibikunle Amosun
Following the pipeline explosion in Ogun State where 50 people were feared dead, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun has accused officials of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, of conniving with vandals to wreak havoc on the country’s economy through pipeline vandalism.

Governor Amosun stated this after he visited the site of the explosion at Arepo village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state.

Masquerade234 gathered that the current Arepo explosion has disrupted fuel supply to South-Western states, an official of Pipelines and Product Marketing Company, PPMC, has said. The pipeline supplies fuel from Atlas Cove jetty in Lagos to other South-Western states.

Meanwhile Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, has described the Arepo pipeline vandalism as big business for youths in communities close to the pipelines, because vandalisation had gone unchecked for  over a decade, adding that explosions would occur as long as the security operatives and managements of NNPC/PPMC refuse to tackle the issue headlong.

For all of us at Masquerade234 how long will this continue?
when would lives mean something in this country?
Who would bail the cat in this situation
