LONG FUEL QUEUES RESURFACES IN ABUJA

Following the stoppage of subsidy payment to importers of petroleum products by the federal government, NUPENG has stopped the supply of PMS to fuel stations in the FCT since Monday, this development has made motorist to flock the few outlets with the product.

According to comrade Benneth Okorie of NUPENG, the union had to carry out the action so that government can address their grievances which includes the government revisiting its position on non-payment of all outstanding subsidy claims and immediate settlement of all outstanding and verified subsidy claims of members for which indemnity has been provided to PPPRA/DMO.

They also demanded that all accrued interest on outstanding claims payment which have been non-existence for six months be paid in full by the government.

while the dilly dally continues between the government and NUPENG motorist are now at their mercy cause any disruption in the supply chain of the product always takes days to fizzle out, be sure that masquerade234 will keep you posted.
