AKWA IBOM STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR RESIGNS

Former Deputy Gov Nsima Ekere
Following growing animosity between Governor goodswill Akpabio and his deputy, the Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, Nsima Ekere has resigned from office with immediate effect. Ekere tendered his resignation letter this morning after he was tipped of an advanced plot to begin impeachment proceedings against him on Thursday, over his governorship ambition in 2015.

Political analysts in Akwa Ibom say Akpabio is backing his current SSG as his successor in 2015. Masquerade234 wonders why a deputy who is loyal to his principle wont be allowed to succeed him after two terms. I am of the view that democracy dont work thsi way because during election a lot of political caculation is carried out before a deputy is selected for the party flag bearer. Below is the letter tendered by Nsima Ekere.
