PRESIDENT JONATHAN APPOINTS NEW SERVICE CHIEFS

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of vice admiral Ola Ibrahim as the chief of defense staff, Ibrahim replaced Air Chief Marshal Oluseyi Petirin.

the change was contained in a statement by the special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity Reuben Abati in Abuja. According to the statement Rear Admiral Dele Ezeoba is the chief of Naval Staff while Air Marshal Alex Badeh takes charge as the Chief of Air Force.

Incubent Chief of Army Staff Leuitenant General Azubuike Ihejirika retained his position.

the statement quoted Jonathan as thanking the out- going military chiefs for their meritorious service to the nation, and he wished them well in their future endeavours.
