Victims of Bauchi Bomb Blast

Yesterday witnessed another senseless bombing of a catholic church after a break, the suicide bomber driving a Opel Vectra saloon car hit the barricade at st John's Catholic Church entrance at about 9:00am when the first mass ended and the second mass was about to start.

An unconfirmed report said a woman and her six year old son were among the dead, there were many children among the injured, but the Bauchi police command spokesman Hassan Mohammed emphasized that three dead and forth six injured adding that two policemen were among the injured.

Some eyewitness say the casualty figure would have been more if not for the barricade at the church, while others says some of the injured are battling between life and death.
