The center seems to be cracking for the newly formed All Progressive Congress as All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) Anambra state chapters have declined to merge with the All Progressive Congress(APC) ahead of Nov. 16 governorship election

Mike Igwilo, State Secretary of defunct ANPP, made this known to newsmen in Awka early Thursday, Igwilo said the party was pulling out because it was not consulted in all the activities leading to the merger and the recent primaries in the state that produced Sen. Chris Ngige as the flag bearer.

Igwilo says they are marginalised in the party and not carried along. For this reason, he find it difficult to explain the merger to supporters who now float like sheep without shepherd. Igwilo said that ANPP would make public its next plan of action before the end of September.

Meanwhile at a a separate news conference Chuba Ikeagwu, the state Chairman of the Congress for Progressive Change told newsmen that the party had joined the newly formed People's Democratic Movement.

He said the APC did not give a level playing ground for other merging political parties to compete for the governorship ticket in the primaries alleging that only the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria controlled the party machinery in the state. There is no equity in the sharing of positions, ACN dominated and took everything, Ikeagwu added.

With the emerging scenario and the ensuing crisis within the PDP, APGA and now APC all seems to be working in favour of the Ifeanyi Ubah who is contesting the governorship electing under Labour Party.

Masquerade234 would keep you informed as the drama unfolds ahead of the November 16th governorship elections in Anambra State.
