Former President Goodluck Jonathan says Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was the only candidate for the 2019 poll who can turn the economic fortunes of Nigeria around.

Jonathan said the Waziri of Adamawa has shown that he has what it takes to create an impact on the economy. The former leader urged Nigerians to vote for Abubakar in 2019 “so that all of us will have food to eat”.

He noted that the North-West geopolitical zone was the most populous part of Nigeria.

Michael’s Jackson’s dad has died! Joe Jackson as he is known is the patriarch of the Jackson family — TMZ reports.

The elder Jackson died two days after the ninth anniversary of the demise of his megastar son, Michael, who died on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.

Family sources told the online celebrity and entertainment news outlet that Joe passed away at 3:30 AM on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Joe was hospitalized in June with terminal cancer. His family had been flocking to his bedside since. His wife, Katherine, had been at his bedside as were some of Joe’s children and grandchildren, TMZ reported.

SENEGAL GIVES AFRICA FIRST VICTORY IN RUSSIA 2018

Senegal has brought smiles to the faces of African countrys by beating their Polish counterpart 2-1 on Tuesday  in the World Cup Group H clash.

Since the commencement of the world cup on the 14th of June 2018, this is the first win for an African country. the four other African countries at the tournament all lost there match.

Final polls have shown a tight race between both candidates and jitters over the polls intensified this week with the torture and murder of a senior election commission official.

Voters in the East African nation of 49 million will pick a president, members of parliament and regional authorities on Tuesday.
