Legendary Abami Eda Fela Anikulapo Kuti

 Today marks the 16th anniversary of Africa's Music Icon Fela Anikulapo Kuit who many people see as a modern day crusader and a musician the authorities would love to hate. As for me I still remember with nostalgia when my friends and i traveled to Lagos for the burial of the great legend and I remember how i used my meager resources to buy a branded T-shirt with the inscription FELA LIVES ON, the year was 1997.

Radio stations in the federal capital were trying to outwit themselves by burning the airwaves with his songs all celebrating the death of a musical icon sixteen years ago. Even Femi Anikulapo Kuti believes his father lives on and this he admitted in his tweet earlier today.
