Senate has confirmed the appointment of Godwin Ifeanyi Emefiele as the new CBN Governor designate. Emefiele was the Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank before his new appointment. He replaces Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who was suspended by the Federal Government on February 20th over allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct.
