Ambassador
James F. Entwistle was accredited today as United States’
Representative to the Commission of the Economic Community of West
Africa States (ECOWAS). His credentials were received by ECOWAS
Commission President Kadré Desiré Ouedraogo in a brief ceremony at the
commission’s headquarters, Abuja.

The
ECOWAS commission president expressed his gratitude to the United
States for the strong cooperation between the United States and the
organization, while the U.S. Ambassador assured him that the United
States would remain a committed partner of ECOWAS.
