Following the new transport policy of the federal Capital territory administration which phased out mini buses and introduced high capacity buses, has seen an upsurge of cars on the high ways of the federal capital territory.

However in order to address this upsurge the Minister of the federal capital administration senator Bala Mohammed says the Abuja Lite rail system would be completed by the end of 2014, he says this would go a long way in curtailing the transport difficulty the territory.

In line with the deadline works has commenced on the Idu Karimu lite rail project.
