GOVERNOR DANBABA SUNTAI DISCHARGED FROM UNITED STATE HOSPITAL

 

Taraba State governor Danbaba Suntai has finally been discharged from John Hopkins Hospital in Maryland State, three months after he was taken to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as a result of the injuries he sustained during the October 2012 plane crash that involved him and some of his aides.

Asked if the governor was now fit to walk around as part of the things required of him to function as a state governor, his personal doctor, Dr. Andrew Smith said “yes”. He added that:

The ailments which had been cured over two months ago were normal ailments that any human being could have. “They were not as serious as reported. They were not serious ailments anyway and they have been cured.”

It was learnt that apart from his wife, Hajia Hauwa Suntai and their kids that were in the Suntai's residence in New York, a top delegation of the state was also there to felicitate with the governor who had spent well over eight months both in German and United States hospitals.

Governor Suntai himself was said to have spoken briefly with a Leadership correspondent, confirming that he was medically okay and not suffering from memory loss.

 Recall that Masquerade234 brought the story last week that Governor Danbaba Suntai was visited by the acting Governor of the state Abubakar Umar and he was seen standing and shaking hand with acting gov, even though they did not discuss.
