I.G OF POLICE ORDERS MASSIVE HUNT FOR GUNMEN WHO KILLED KWARA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

I.G of Police Mohammed Abubakar
The recent killing of Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Chinwike Asadu, in  Enugu State has sent shock waves across the country. Meanwhile the Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Abubakar has directed the police homicide squad to fish out the gunmen who  waylaid and killed   Asadu on Saturday night while on a visit to his home in Enugu.

Deputy Force Public Relations Officer Frank Mba emphasized that the killers have murdered sleep and they will not know sleep.

Masquerade234 however learnt that the late CP Asadu was killed at about 9.45pm on Saturday in Abakpa Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area, by  the gunmen who trailed him to his street. Asadu’s police orderly,  Aloha Olaniyi and driver, Oliver Omeh,  were critically injured by the bandits. The duo are said to be receiving treatment at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu.

Olaniyi was shot in the chest, stomach, hands and leg. His service rifle was also said to have been taken away by the gunmen.

The recent killing of the Commissioner of Police and the attempted raid on an Army formation in Bornu State all point to the fact that some elements in the country are far from being scared of security agencies and its a pointer that 2015 general elections may not be as peaceful as anticipated.
