Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has added his voice to the growing list of those criticizing the good governance tour of the Goodluck Jonathan administration by Minister for Information, Labaran Maku.
According to the laureate the good governance tour whic has the backing of the Nigerian Union of Journalist is a scam that should not be encouraged in 21st century Nigeria. Soyinka made the ascertion in the Benin the Edo State capital.
You'll recall that the governor of Edo state also berated the tour during the week when a letter was sent to him by the information minister that he should make arrangement for their accomodation and feeding of the 120 member delegation.
Edo governor Adams Oshiomole vehemently refused the proposal stating that he did not the tour to access his governance in Edo State and that the people of the state were in a better position to access the dividends of democracy provided by his adminsitration.
