EMEKA WOGU INDICTED IN THE SUBSIDY SCAM

Minister of Labour Chukwuemeka Wogu
This might not be the best of times for the minister of Labour and Productivity Emeka Wogu as he has been fingered as one of the beneficiary of subsidy money. More so the Anti-Corruption Network has joined the chorus of Nigerians calling on the Chairman of the white paper Committee on the Nuhu Ribadu led petroleum Revenue Task Force Committee and Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu, to resign for Corruption and defrauding of the Government and people of Nigeria.

Emeka Wogu who some believe is a strong henchman of President Jonathan is now between and betwist as the Anti Corruption Network is calling on President Goodluck Jonathan should fire him immediately if he fails to resign.

Executive Secretary of the network Dino Melaye, emphasized that the President Jonathan should stick to his words of a recent media chat where he vowed to fight the unprecedented rot in the petroleum industry and to implement the reports of the various committees that have probed the oil industry.

He went on further to say that it is shameful and disgraceful that the Minister of Labour and productivity, Emeka Wogu who is heading the white paper Committee on the Ribadu led petroleum Revenue special task force has now been indicted in the illegal payment of # 2.7 billion to a company for fuel that was never supplied, adding that Wogu cannot be a judge in his own cause.
