ROBBERS ON RAMPAGE IN LAGOS

with the xmas holidays just around the corner armed robbers are having a fields day in the Natyions commercial capital Lagos. Barely three days after armed robbers shot Inspector Ogedemgbe and a corporal dead at Ajao Estate, another policeman attached to Ejigbo Police Division was yesterday killed by robbers again.

The latest killing was at Oke Afa area at a popular joint where the corporal, simply identified as Emma, with his patrol team had gone to respond to a distress call about a robbery operation in the area. It was gathered that when the police went to the joint, they were ambushed by the bandits who opened fire on them, killing  the corporal and took away his gun, before shooting indiscriminately and escaping from the scene of the incident.


When contacted, a Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident but declined further comment. Meanwhile at the Ejigbo Police station, the police officers were seen in low spirits, mourning the death of their colleague.

Masquerade234 is wondering if the police officers are still sleeping as stated by the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar or is this just a case of telling the police that they are in charge.
