NIGERIA JOINS THE REST OF THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE WORLD TOILET DAY

Nigeria joined the rest of the world to mark World Toilet Day, and Water Aid Nigeria has called on the federal to provide access to safe sanitation and clean water in the country.

Country Representative of Water Aid Nigeria Micheal Ojo says seven out of ten Nigerian women lack and adequate sanitation and some don't even have toilets at all. He also emphasized that the figures is mind blowing in the world with over Two point Five billion people don't have access to adequate sanitation.

Breaking down the figure in Nigeria Ojo enthused that forty two percent of Nigeria's population lack safe water, while sixty nine percent lacked proper sanitation.

As global awareness continue to focus on this, Water Aid Nigeria says its partnering with over Two hundred organization to launch the keep the promise campaign. Ojo also stressed that the crisis can only be solved if only Nigerian politicians and Leaders will honour some of the partnership commitment they have made.

Masquerade234 gathered that when some of these agreement are reached, development partners fulfill thier own side of the deal only for government not able to provide their own side of the bargain and this has made intervention really not achieving the desired result.
