Co Chairman of the national committee on flood relief and rehabilitation Aliko Dangote says his committee plans to generate one hundred billion naira for flood ravaged State and flood victims. He added that the funds would sourced from both local and international donors.
the business mogul solicited the support and cooperation of all well meaning individuals and organisations in the realization of the committees objective, according to him the provision of relief materials and rehabilitation of flood victims should not be seen as the responsibilty of government alone.

Meanwhile President Jonathan emphasised that beside fund raising and ensuring effective post impact rehabilitation of victims, the committee should also carry out other things that are incidental to its mandate.
