PROTESTERS BESIEGE CBN HEADQUARTERS OVER INTRODUCTION OF N5000 NOTES

Central Bank of Nigeria was under siege by protesters over its planned introduction of five thousand naira notes. the protesters under the platform anti corruption network defied the rain and tight security presence tyo drive home its demand.

Conveyor of the group and former lawmaker Dino Melaye simply described the move as anti people and unpopular adding that the group would mobilize all well meaning Nigerians against the policy.

Melaye expressed disappointment that despite the directive from the national assembly to halt the process, the governor of central bank Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has remained adamant.

Masquerade234 was told that the protest will continue intermittently until the Central Bank of Nigeria rescinds its decision.
