Former NUJ president and now chairman
senate committee FCT, Senator Smart Adeyemi visited the National Headquarters
of the Nigerian Union of Journalist in the FCT to condole with them over the
loss of three journalists in a ghastly motor accident last week Friday.
Senator Smart Adeyemi expressed his
condolence to both the families of the deceased and the Nigerian Union of
Journalists as a whole.
He also used the occasion to recall a
bill on journalism enhancement, in order to correct anomalies in the practice
of Journalism.
Citing the death of the three
journalists , Adeyemi emphasised that the idea of not paying journalists in
Nigeria must and he pledged support to the families of the deceased.

Senator Smart Adeyemi also gave a
donation of one million naira to NUJ to support and encourage them for their
good work, he also promised to take the matter to the senate.
