NOA CALLS FOR PRESERVATION OF INDIGENOUS CULTURES

Director General National Orientation Agency NOA Mike Omeri has advised other parts of the country to emulate the Igbo's in preserving their indigenous cultures in other to prevent imminent loss of identity due to westernazation.

Omeri gave the advice during a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Nnewi Community in Anambra State, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Orizu the third.

The visit was to explain the NOA’s recently introduced Citizens’ Responsibility Volunteer Scheme whose pioneer launch took place in Anambra State.
