After months of struggle by the National Transitional Council to remove Gaddafi from power, Thursday 20th October 2011 saw the end of an era in Libya.  Gaddafi and his loyalist earlier engaged the NTC forces in a gun battle, but after some NATO air strike was injured and captured by the rebel soldier who later killed the Libyan dictator.
 Col. Moammar Gaddafi rose to power at the age of 27 and has ruled the North African country for 42 years.
As news of the death of Gaddafi swept through the country and across the world, many bloody images of the man who assumed power via a bloodless coup in 1969 surfaced and circulated on the Internet and international television stations.
Although there were various accounts of his killing, a common thread was that he was cornered in a concrete pipe begging for his life.
An Action congress senator from Ogun state, distinguish senator Olugbenga Obadara advised political leaders in Nigeria to learn from the death of Muamar Gaddafi, and that political leaders around the world shouldn’t take their citizens for granted as the world is desirous of good and qualitative leadership.
