Nigeria seems to be enjoying a new found boost in cosmetic
surgery as both stars and ordinary Nigerians are so desirous of enhancing their
beauty. In recent times we have seen an upsurge in the amount of Boobs and Butt
jobs by ladies to appeal to the male folks.
Masquerade234 investigations shows that the whole
thing started from skin bleaching which has gradually turned all our ladies and
some men to be fair in completion. Before now it use to be done by using
various bleaching creams that find their ways to Nigerian markets.
However the story is now different with some foreign
country returnee coming up with modern and better ways of achieving equal
bleaching of the skin and gradually body enhancement surgery became the other
of the day.
Entertainment stars use to be the patronisers of
this line of business but as more and more people joined the fray, prizes
crashed and even commercial sex workers, Students and people generally went
under the knives for boobs and Butt jobs
which are very common.
Stakeholders are worried that as the world is
leaving Plastic Surgery Nigerians are embracing the culture without anyone
doing anything about coupled with no government regulations.
Statistic shows that the number of women having
plastic surgery plunged to its lowest in a decade last year thanks to economic
uncertainty.
The biggest falls were for eyelid and eyebrow lifts,
face lifts and fat transfer and liposuction operations after many opted for
cheaper non-surgical treatments such as Botox and other fillers.
Our concern now is who would save our future
generation from this vanity called plastic surgery or better put craze for
