| Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State |
Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has
ordered the sack of all the local government education secretaries. According
to a press statement issued in Ado Ekiti by the Chief Press Secretary to the
Governor Idowu Adelusi, the sack takes immediate effect and the affected
secretaries are to hand over government property in their care to the most
senior officers next to them.
The Education Secretaries were
appointed by the erstwhile government led by Dr Kayode Fayemi in all the 16
local government areas of the state to take care of education related matters
in each of the councils.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic
Party in Ekiti State has berated ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi for spending
N4 billion on the planting of flowers.
The party equally blamed
the Fayemi’s administration for allegedly plunging the state into
huge debt, which according to the party has remained unparalleled
in the history of the state.
