at close range by gunmen just outside his residence in Abuja, THEWILL
can report.
The incident occurred late Monday night at the Nyanya District, just outside the Federal Capital Territory.
Two gunmen on a motorcycle reportedly attacked the photographer who returned home late after covering the President’s inauguration of the Operation Light Up Rural Nigeria Project in the FCT.
The motive for the attack was unclear as nothing was taken from the victim after the shooting. The gunmen fled afterwards.
This is the second attack on the photographer, according to media reports.
He is being treated at the National Hospital in Abuja and is believed to be in stable condition.
FCT Command Police Public Relations Officer, Altine Daniel confirmed the shooting to journalists saying an investigation has been opened into the incident.
