FCT Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalist NUJ
has commenced its campaign against fake journalists who are hell bent on
maligning the Journalism profession.
In fighting the menace the Chairman of the FCT
Council, Chuks Ehirim at a press briefing stated that the war against fake
journalist has been stepped up, adding that the FCT council would not tolerate
the use of blackmail in the profession.
The council chairman also urged government officials
and citizens who are been blackmailed to report such incidents to the council, adding that such behaviors would be
persecuted and the council would no longer tolerate such unethical
behavior.
Masquerade234 gathered that FCT Ministered was been asked to part with Fifty Million Naira ton kill a story by a magazine publishers.
Chuks Ehirim also used the occasion to applaud the
FCT minister for not falling to the antics of some fake journalists who
demanded the money.
